  1. I look at new versions occasionally to see in what way things are perverted, they usually attack things of importance. The KJV certain times emphasizes a heart - mind connection, I guess the new versions, less-so (in error). Proverbs 1:23-28 KJV [23] Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. [24] Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; [25] But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: [26] I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; [27] When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. [28] Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: Considering the [28] “call upon me” is a lot like the current “Christians” who refuse to: [Romans 10:13 KJV [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.] And instead “just believe” so I’d say yes.
  2. "Feebleminded" only appears once in the KJV which you showed; Every reference to feeble: Gen_30:42 But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's. Deu_25:18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God. 1Sa_2:5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble. 2Sa_4:1 And when Saul's son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled. 2Ch_28:15 And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria. Neh_4:2 And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? Job_4:4 Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. Psa_38:8 I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart. Psa_105:37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. Pro_30:26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; Isa_16:14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble. Isa_35:3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Jer_6:24 We have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail. Jer_47:3 At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands; Jer_49:24 Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. Jer_50:43 The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail. Eze_7:17 All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water. Eze_21:7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD. Zec_12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. 1Co_12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: Heb_12:12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; Websters Dictionary 1828 - Webster's Dictionary 1828 - Feeble WEBSTERSDICTIONARY1828.COM Websters Dictionary 1828 - Webster's Dictionary 1828 - Feeble Weakminded might be more appropriate than simpleminded, as (just my opinion) simpleminded would seem more like intelligence / knowledge whereas weakminded could be more of like what we would consider a mental handicap condition today. Every reference to simple: Psa_19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. Psa_116:6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. Psa_119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Pro_1:4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. Pro_1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Pro_1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. Pro_7:7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, Pro_8:5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. Pro_9:4 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, Pro_9:13 A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing. Pro_9:16 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, Pro_14:15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. Pro_14:18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. Pro_19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge. Pro_21:11 When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge. Pro_22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. Pro_27:12 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished. Eze_45:20 And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye reconcile the house. Rom_16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. Rom_16:19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. Also interesting in the OT regarding Nebuchadnezzar: Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him. Daniel 4:16 (New versions seem to change 'heart' to 'mind') And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: Daniel 4:34 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. Daniel 4:36 There is also the KJV "lunatick" Mat_4:24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. Mat_17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
  3. I created these scripture images in the past, they were on the old forum, figured I would post them again. Please post your's if anyone else has similar or want's to create some. (I have higher quality 4k versions if anyone is interested just didn't want to take up too much space, so resized to 1920x1080 & compressed) Note: If adding images you can double click them in the editor and set the thumbnail size e.g. below is 300px wide, they can still be viewed full size when clicked. Also if anyone has other ideas, for certain verses and or images they want used I'll try to make something for you.
  4. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. John 21:25
  5. Those were good suggestions, I've implemented the changes. - - - I use adobe illustrator, but Inkscape is an apparently free alternative (I never tried) search YouTube for "Inkspace trifold brochure" for tutorials / ideas. I design it as 2 tracts per 1 piece of paper to be printed on a regular desktop printer, regular paper, folded by hand: this is the adobe file [file download] from a previous tract, which could be used as a template. Not sure if the free Inkscape program will open and work with .ai (adobe) files. When finished a tract I also upload a .pdf so others can print, I think every printer has slightly different margins etc so might not work completely as intended, work in progress.
  6. I think of these when it come's to animals doing odd, unexpected things: (as well as the events related to the Ark which you pointed out) The various animal plagues in Egypt, (Exodus) And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him. And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way. But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side. And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again. And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times? And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee. And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay. Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me: And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive. Numbers 22:22-33 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them. 2 Kings 2:23-24 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee. And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel. Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him. Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God. And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den. Daniel 6:16-24 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Jonah 1:17 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land. Jonah 2:10 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. Luke 5:4-10
  7. Was thinking how a tract titled ("Church" is wrong) or something to that effect, at a glance, would appeal to both: Atheists / Agnostics enticed by seemingly anti-religious material and also religious "Church Christians" who would take offence on behalf of their beloved "Church" building. I try to make my tracts just pure verses as much as possible, so will start to collect some relevant verses but will likely also need some exposition / paraphrase, with scriptural support, to make the full argument(s).

  12. Looking at the comments section (from 1st video) I asked a very similar question 4 years ago: I think if one can't understand it (salvation) well enough to explain it even in the simplest of terms, that's a good indicator; discounting people that are just unable to communicate (deaf/mute etc) but do understand.
  13. The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful. For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand. Isaiah 32:5-8

  16. Other than going through once, I've always done more subject (doctrine) based studies, or word studies; I just find it easier to focus and remember if I'm studying rather than just reading; although I try to read at least 2 pages a day going through it again Genesis -> Revelation. If you want to make a plan perhaps these charts of contents can help you balance things out: Old Testament Book Chapters Verses Words 1 Genesis 50 1,533 38,262 2 Exodus 40 1,213 32,685 3 Leviticus 27 859 24,541 4 Numbers 36 1,288 32,896 5 Deuteronomy 34 959 28,352 6 Joshua 24 658 18,854 7 Judges 21 618 18,966 8 Ruth 4 85 2,574 9 1 Samuel 31 810 25,048 10 2 Samuel 24 695 20,600 11 1 Kings 22 816 24,513 12 2 Kings 25 719 23,517 13 1 Chronicles 29 942 20,365 14 2 Chronicles 36 822 26,069 15 Ezra 10 280 7,440 16 Nehemiah 13 406 10,480 17 Esther 10 167 5,633 18 Job 42 1,070 18,098 19 Psalms 150 2,461 *42,704 20 Proverbs 31 915 15,038 21 Ecclesiastes 12 222 5,579 22 Song of Solomon 8 117 2,658 23 Isaiah 66 1,292 37,036 24 Jeremiah 52 1,364 42,654 25 Lamentations 5 154 3,411 26 Ezekiel 48 1,273 39,401 27 Daniel 12 357 11,602 28 Hosea 14 197 5,174 29 Joel 3 73 2,033 30 Amos 9 146 4,216 31 Obadiah 1 21 669 32 Jonah 4 48 1,320 33 Micah 7 105 3,152 34 Nahum 3 47 1,284 35 Habakkuk 3 56 1,475 36 Zephaniah 3 53 1,616 37 Haggai 2 38 1,130 38 Zechariah 14 211 6,443 39 Malachi 4 55 1,781 New Testament Book Chapters Verses Words 40 Matthew 28 1,071 23,343 41 Mark 16 678 14,949 42 Luke 24 1,151 25,640 43 John 21 879 18,658 44 Acts 28 1,007 24,229 45 Romans 16 433 *9,422 46 1 Corinthians 16 437 *9,462 47 2 Corinthians 13 257 *6,046 48 Galatians 6 149 *3,084 49 Ephesians 6 155 *3,022 50 Philippians 4 104 *2,183 51 Colossians 4 95 *1,979 52 1 Thessalonians 5 89 *1,837 53 2 Thessalonians 3 47 *1,022 54 1 Timothy 6 113 *2,244 55 2 Timothy 4 83 *1,666 56 Titus 3 46 *896 57 Philemon 1 25 *430 58 Hebrews 13 303 *6,897 59 James 5 108 2,304 60 1 Peter 5 105 2,476 61 2 Peter 3 61 1,553 62 1 John 5 105 2,517 63 2 John 1 13 298 64 3 John 1 14 294 65 Jude 1 25 608 66 Revelation 22 404 11,952 So if there is 929 OT chapters + 260 NT, to balance you would want to read ~3 OT (2.54) & ~1 NT (0.71) /day. I've seen some fancy reading plans that will jump you all over the place tying things together, e.g. Jumping from an OT prophecy about Jesus Christ to where it was fulfilled in the NT, stuff like that.

I moved this out of the Q&A section as it was getting too large and not really fitting that type of thread (Q&A posts / answers can change in order by votes, not just chronologically like a normal thread) I don't know anything about Spanish so will just re-iterate from the "What We Believe" Section: This is a KJV believing forum, for primarily English speaking / reading people, I've moved all these various Spanish threads to the [ Spanish / Español ] club section just created. I don't know if any of the current moderators speak Spanish (I certainly don't) well enough to be able to effectively moderate that content, let me know.
