  1. I wanted to believe Jesus' second coming would be 2000 years to the day of His crucifixion. I know you can't know.. but I was looking for something to tie the seventy weeks mentioned in Daniel to 2033 So 2033 - (70x7) = 1543 I found this: On the Jews and Their Lies (German: Von den Jüden und iren Lügen; in modern spelling Von den Juden und ihren Lügen) is a 65,000-word anti-Judaic and antisemitic treatise written in 1543 by the German Reformation leader Martin Luther (1483–1546). Luther's attitude toward Jews took different forms during his lifetime. In his earlier period,

All in all? Start with the 70 hours of preaching on Romans 1 and see if you hear anything about repentance. Brother James is the founding pastor of THE BIBLE Baptist Church (1987) of DeLand, Florida, USA. The brothers and sisters in Christ at The BBC prayerfully distribute recorded sermons and Bible studies to 182 countries, with 5 million units having been sent out since 1988. In addition to the ministry of recorded sermons, dozens of book titles in print, many of which are being translated into numerous languages, enable this ministry to be of instruction and encouragement to untold nu

  5. The details of the TOJT were revealed to Daniel who sealed them up in a book Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. This is the book opened by Jesus Christ and revealed again to John in Revelation. Revelation 5:1-2 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals there
  6. What I really wanted to get at with this post is that salvation (deliverence from the power and effects of sin) has nothing to do with works, it never has and never will. Only God can deliver us from sin. The main theme running through the whole Bible is that of God's righteousness, and man's lack of.. Since man was created, he broke even the first of God's commandments, and continued in sin ever since. Sin being actions that fall short of the righteousness of God. There was not one man that could stand before God and be judged righteous.. Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day
  7. I started a new topic to continue the discussion rather than derail this one any more.
  8. Thought I'd start a new topic to explain how works have never been a part of salvation. The major example we are given is Abraham Genesis 15:4-6 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh
  9. I'm not sure the point your making here.. I was merely pointing out Luke 17:33 explaining that salvation was the gift of God and never by works.
  10. You might be justified before the world by works, but God looks upon your heart. No works required for salvation.
  11. What about Abraham? Did he prove his faith by his works? He did eventually but that's not what saved him. He believed God and and that's all that mattered to God. If we believe God, that Jesus Christ died to pay for all sin, God's credits his righteousness to us at the judgement. That faith gives access to God's grace unto salvation. We prove our faith to the world by our works. So if someone who takes the mark cannot be saved, that moment of faith in God must be unreachable somehow. We shouldn't get hung up about tojt as we won't be here 👍
  12. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. God's righteousness is credited to you through faith in his word and in our dispensation, the blood propitiation for sin by Jesus Christ, unto salvation. The law was given to show man that salvation could not be obtained by keeping the law (works). Adam and Eve couldn't even keep one commandment. I guess taking the mark could be classed as a work which makes faith impossible to come by.
  13. Luke 17:33 whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it... This whole passage illustrates that salvation has always been by the grace of God through faith, going all the way back to Noah, not by works..
  14. Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Hope these words of God are all helpful to you!
  15. 1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
