  1. He is a "churchgoer" but he does teach properly (at least from what I have personally witnessed). By "he is a man" I mean he is imperfect and therefore susceptible to deception. There are true believers that attend buildings. There are believers that are deceived on some issues and/or ignorant on some issues and even doctrine. These things, however important, do not determine whether or not the individual is saved. The absolute most carnal people in the epistles were the Corinthians, but they were saved nonetheless. That's why I encouraged that discernment should be used, no matter the teacher
  2. @DIVISIVE INERRANTIST I don't follow any one singular person, group, YT channel, etc... to study scripture. I watch your videos, JT's, Bryan's, Brother Newton's, Brother Noon's, as well as others. What I said wasn't an "attack" and I really hope it didn't get taken that way. I just don't tie myself to any group, denomination, or person because people fail. I am grounded on Christ. Many people have turned against brother Bryan either because they were false, or they were chasing the man rather than the message. I am part of Christ's body and that's the only "group" I belong to. I hope this cle
  3. I myself don't particularly associate with a particular group as we are all part of Christ's body. You could call it preaching to an extent, but I would recommend the bible teaching of Les Feldick. He is very thorough and sound in all doctrine from what I've seen so far. He teaches out of the KJV following Paul's epistles as doctrine for the church/grace age and promotes dispensation teaching by the scripture with scripture method. Plus, he is an older man. Just remember, if you come across anything fishy, he is a man. Just thought I'd add that I'm 28 and was saved at 21, but I lived very fles
  4. Elder in scripture is not a reference to age. When Timothy began in the ministry under Paul, he would have been considered an elder. Also remember in Job that the wisest of the men that spoke to Job was the youngest (whom God spoke through) . I don't have much info to offer but thought this may help considering your question. Experience is important and differs from believer to believer. A newly saved 60 yr old will not have the wisdom of a 35-40 yr old that was saved 10-15 years ago (given they are equally zealous in the faith).

  6. My mom and I often discuss things and either she will mention a part of scripture or I will. I often paraphrase, but even after paraphrasing I look up the verse(s) and reinforce what I can remember. For me, the difficult part is knowing exactly where the verse or verses are (which book and chapter). Through personal experience and as stated by @Vancouver, when I slip in study and reading it affects my ability to recall scripture. Also, when I neglect studying and reading the word, that's when I fall into temptation and ultimately sin. Most of my recollection of scripture appears to come from
  7. Destroy them or throw them away. If you wouldn't participate in it, why pawn your sin off on others? Even if it is worth something to the lost world, can you honestly stand before the Lord in this matter with a clear conscience? 2 Timothy 2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. Would you give away or sell an NIV? The NIV may be worse, but video games are just another distraction from the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Just like the old cartoons... They may not have come across as overly wic
  8. I will definitely take the advice. And thanks for the encouragement as well. I couldn't imagine having to find work in your area. Most jobs I've had or interviewed for, it was always a man in the authoritative position. But even here as you said for Virginia, HR is almost always 100% women. It makes no sense to me why women would have the most logically challenging positions when they are more emotionally involved than men. I looked into why the background failed and opened a case through the corporate side of my previous employer to possibly get that job back. I'm now praying that if God does
  9. He has always provided for me, but with the mask garbage and all the ignorance in the world it seems so much harder to honor our Father in the workplace. I'm not complaining against God in this; it's just becoming near impossible to find honorable work when you don't already have a needed skill or trade. That is the extent of my circumstances. Even living in southern Alabama, the "bible belt" as often called, very few people here even care to listen to what a bible believer has to say. This world has become so corrupted with churchianity that most days, I just ask God to take us home already.
  10. Just write what is on your heart. Other than that, the only answer I can provide is this: It seems there may be a sin or 2 that the Lord is urging you to put away. If you're holding on to anything God is wanting you to remove from your life, circumstances will only worsen with time. It doesn't mean you aren't saved, but you can still be punished in the flesh.
  11. I left my former job due to the ethical practices involved. I was a customer service rep (over the phone) and we were told to start pushing customers to get a credit card. This among other things drove me to quit. Within a month, maybe a little longer, I started working in a major warehouse but after 3 weeks was terminated due to a failed background check. The person that fired me could not disclose why as it was a third party that ran the check, and it just comes back as pass or fail. I would love to have that job back, but... "Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for g
  12. I am posting this, not with the intent of starting anything with a particular person, but to show what Satan is doing to people and what God is allowing in our current time. I came across this comment after hearing brother Bryan talk about a channel that came out of Catholicism and is now a preacher of the word. This comment got a heart from the channel. This is just ridiculous.
  13. That is the only reason I even posted this. He actually makes some good points and probably has some good sermons, but does he have God's spirit in him? To become so angry in defending a building... "Heaven and earth shall pass away..." <-- This includes buildings. Honestly, I don't know whether he is truly saved or not. But I do know, from my experience, God only gives you truth when you are sincerely seeking it. It won't be long before the wheat is separated from the tares, and what a great and terrible thing that will be. Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, sayin
  14. Watch at the 1:35:47 mark, also you can see in the live chat how his followers treated what I had to say. I wish I had known he was a trinitarian at the time, because he said he follows scripture. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichri
  15. These people are just like the Jews and pagans around before the crucifixion. They all just had to build a temple. We even see it in the Gospels... Matthew 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three
