I finally have a kjv text only bible and have gotten rid of all other translations.  I also ordered Ruckmans commentary on Romans. I noticed Dr. Ruckman has a lot more books outside the commentary series.  What would you all recommend as the first one I should read? Thanks

"The Full Cup" was a good read

Some of my favorites that helped open up the scriptures are:

  • Body, Soul, Spirit by Dr. Peter S. Ruckman (small quick read)
  • Theological studies volume 1 by Dr. Peter S. Ruckman (covers most of the major doctrines)
  • Theological studies volume 2 by Dr. Peter S. Ruckman
  • The Sure Word of Prophecy by Dr. Peter S. Ruckman (explains prophecy, which helps a lot)\

I have some of his worked reviewed on my site: Christian Remnant Now

Mitch - Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

I order the 2 volumes of theological studies, and recieved the Roman's commentary the other day. I also have a scofield coming from cbp. That should keep me busy for a while. I have had zero luck finding a house church here in Illinois.  So I'm just going to try studying on my own

That'd be best. It's very hard to find other truly saved christians nearby nowadays. Studying with just you and the Lord is always the best option.

James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

Psalms 1:1-2 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."

2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Be mindful, Scofield bibles were the go to for quite a long time, but Scofield got a lot wrong and referenced the RV several times and was known to cast doubt on the AV, just want you to be mindful of that.

@mlandau

Thank you sir.  I have a plain text bible too. I wanted something with references also. I think I plan to lean heavily on the ruckman commentaries though.
