Recommended Tracts and Tract Publishers
Feel free to post and recommend tracts that you have found useful as well as tract publishers that we can trust as Bible-believers. Also, if you have created tracts yourself, I'm sure the Brethren would love to see them! 🤗
the Fellowship Tract League offer great tracts! They are provided free including the cost of shipping, you may give a donation if you'd like. They have a wide selection of tracts and languages to choose from, and only use the KJV in their English tracts.
Fellowship Tract League is a good one, also 'some' tracts from bible Baptist bookstore.
That said I watched a video posted by Brother Phillip Newtown from a few months ago and he said he throw out all his chick tracts, because of making images of the Godhead, images of "Jesus" and such, I am in agreement with him and it was hard but I discarded all my Chick tracts and now look to use others without images of the Godhead in them. What yall think, also any other good places for tracts?
I agree about Chick tracts, I had never really looked into them but yesterday was checking them out to see if I saw any I'd like to give out but came across one (I don't remember which one) that got the Godhead right regarding body, soul and spirit, but then it pictured the "Holy Ghost" as a dove. That is what Catholics do, isn't it? (Not discrediting their whole ministry but surely they aren't ignorant about this issue so they have the responsibility to correct their fault in order to be in line with God's word.) And they do indeed contain images of "Jesus" and "the Father".
*found that Chick tract I was referring to one called "The Walking Dead", and as you can see it also refers to Jesus as "God the Son" and the Holy Ghost as "God the Holy Ghost".
yup sad thing is chick tracts have good salvation message but to many picture/images of a Fake Jesus and Godhead,' graven images' K not telling you what to do in my case it was hard at first then I got angry said to myself respecting the Lord is more important so they all ended up in the garbage can, regardless I got rid of mine I took a pass on the chick tracts now use's others! up to you.
K, I use them too, even though the shipping to Australia takes a while! They are excellent tracts and I always make a donation to more than cover the cost. I am not a follower of Chick Tracts, either. They don't appeal to me due to some issues I have with their content,
Chick tracts' "this was your life" is pretty good all purpose gospel tract. I also use "the attack" about the bible version issue, which is good except the first page has the Lord's name in vain - or barely not, the guy is in pain and says "oh Lord". I also have "hello there" which is about hardened people who have made fun about Christianity. And I also have "is there another Christ" that is all about catholicism and it has quite a bit of documentation to catholic sources about the catholic system.
I've had one of the people I gave "this was your life" come back by (delivery man) and say he was saved. So at least one worked so far!
I do remember one I had that had the godhead pictured as 3 circles (graven image by man's device). I contacted them about it and I got back this weird message about cherubims and other things being engraved. They didn't get it. Well not everyone is that grown in the spirit.
I highly suggest chick tracts, but look through the ones before you buy them for anything bad like, as you said, the dove being the Holy Ghost. You can look through every one on their website. They're cartoony and are more likely to be read since they have pictures in them. The lost doesn't get a big 10 inch fold out with scripture all over it and read it. Think back to when you were lost - would you read something like that or would you be more likely to read a chick tract with pictures with 1 or 2 scripture verses on each page at the bottom?
David Daniels who does the new tracts since Mr Chick died is very good and has a lot of books and great videos on youtube.
I'm glad y'all brought up problems with the Godhead being drawn on Chick Tracts because I had not really thought about that issue. I would, however, like to ask your thoughts on how I see it. I've seen the tract that K posted a picture of and remember deciding not to purchase it since I do not agree with the terms "God the Son" and "God the Holy Ghost". I also agree with Joshua S, that there is still the option to look through the tracts (free online) to discern which ones are doctrinally sound.
As far as the drawings of the Godhead, I must point out that if Chick is unscriptural, so is Peter Ruckman. I have his book, "Viewing the Truth", that contains 65 of his "chalk talk" drawings with his sermon outlines for them. There are multiple drawings of Jesus (on the cross & in his glorified body), the Lord on the Great White Throne, etc. Honestly, most of the Chick Tracts I've seen depict the Lord on the throne with no face (like in the picture K added), whereas Bro. Ruckman in one drawing drew facial features and all.
I'm a bit confused because I know the Lord has greatly blessed both Ruckman and Chick in reaching the lost. What are y'all's thoughts?
Hello brethren, have any of you purchased these tracts from Bible Baptist Bookstore?
If so what are your thoughts on them? What does the salvation message on the back say (I can't make it out from the pictures the store provided)? Perhaps a good choice for brethren who are short on money.
For me personally Fellowship tract League have good tracts, I ordered 3500 pieces for free ( I think it's the max order you can make if you live outside USA).
BUT...I am not sure every tract from F.T.L. have sinners prayer in it (In "The second coming" tract sinners prayer or calling upon name of The Lord IS NOT mentioned, so read every tract carefully before you make order.
There are lot's of "theme tracts" for truckers, teens, addicts, etc, but tracts number 174 and 114 are generally speaking to everyone.
A here is a guideline if you want make a donation:
The business card tracts are okay. They all have a different verse so I don’t really use them. Most of them are salvation verses or verses written to Christians. Here is a picture of the back:
