While searching for the Truth, I've explored a sizeable gamut of false teachers and ministries...

In recent years, an old friend contacted me and said that she felt that God wanted her to tell me about Joyce Meyers.  🙄  I was able to simply tell her, "I have read at least 10 of her books.  I'm sorry, she is not a Christian and those are not Christian teachings."  This friend got extremely upset and stopped talking to me.

Praying for you and yours, sister.

Oh wow you read some of her books?? She most definitely isn’t a true Christian that’s for sure! We are bound to offend and upset a lot of people it seems. My mother in law was very offended a few years ago. We shall see if this will be the case again. Really appreciate your prayers! And Praise the Lord you were lead away from that wicked woman too!

Sister Christine is there any way you can discuss this more with her? You're the best person to show her the flaws in Joyce Meyers teachings, I have read one of her books that my dad got, when I was lost and in new age, after I got saved I went back to my dad and had a talk with him about this.

Though he's not saved yet (and with his alzheimer's disease I'm weary that the chances of him getting saved are getting slimmer by the day), I still gave him some food for thought.

Try not to be too blunt, even when it's the truth, have her open up and reason with her, that's when you'll find the opportunity to preach the gospel. I believe God in His mercy uses the knowledge we had in our lost times to reach people like us, when I get frustrated in a discussion I always try to remind myself "how would I have wanted someone to reach me when I was lost?"  the person before you is just like the old you, and this thought helps me keep in mind their perspective. We were blind and now we see, but they're still in darkness and with some people you need to open that curtain slowly or they won't be able to cope with all that light. God bless you sister.

thank you for that edifying response sister! I was thinking we don’t want to overwhelm her with everything. We are going back there tomorrow as our landlord is coming with his crew to replace floors in our bathroom and get rid of our mold situation! That is a great way to approach people I think because that’s just it we once were blind and had no clue. It took many years to finally have my eyes opened to all the wickedness in my life. Appreciate your prayers, we have been struggling with things lately. Just seems like one thing after another lately 😔
