Hey brethren, Im in need of your prayers for an opportunity to learn the painting trade.

I dropped out of highschool in the 9th grade, I have absolutely no job experience whatsoever, and if that's not enough I also seem to struggle with social anxiety, i applied to learn the trade as an apprentice meaning (I work for free in return I get training), the job actually called me back but I was busy with my brother at the time so I missed the call. I just need prayer that they will give me the opportunity to work. I am an able body young man wanting to work with my hands but it's been hard finding anything due to my anxiety and no experience. I left a message and hopefully they'll get back to me first thing tomorrow. Anything helps.

May our God continue to bless you and your families with joy and peace, and may he comfort you in any and all tribulation. God bless the brethren! ~Romans 8:28

I'll be praying for you.  I started off my career in the past as an apprentice electrician and I really enjoyed working with my hands.  When I finished high school back in 1999, I enrolled into a 4 year computer engineering course and dropped out like 2 months in because I just hated sitting at the computer programming.  I'm assuming your in the USA, and only from what I've read, its pretty bad trying to find work.  Not too much longer I hope and none of us will ever have to worry about $$$ to live.

Yeah I'm in the USA brother Matt, California to be exact :/ haha, anyway yeah, it's not so much that I have to work but I want to work, and of course the scriptures are clear about not being a sluggard. I actually worked for a landscape job back when I was lost I'm actually SHOCKED they hired me due to my poor background, but I quit the first day due to me having a panic attack... This apprentice gig seems cool but they still haven't got back to me. I just hope the Lord gives me the strength to work out in the world and that He blesses me with a job. Thank you all my brothers and sisters in the Lord for your prayers.

I'm praying for you brother.

When ever you get overwhelmed, just focus on your breathing, and scripture while praying. I love you!

It must be amazing being young and saved...it's an honor to have brothers like you.

Praise the Lord for the encouragement! Wow I feel alot calmer now. It's just a blessing to be apart of God's body and to have fellowship with you all, I love you all in the Lord. And brother Michael, Lord willing I will keep that in mind if I have another "episode" of anxiety. I'm just happy to call you all my brothers and sisters! Amen! Praise God!!

I will be praying that the Lord would open doors for you brother. As for your anxiety, I will pray that you may be blessed with peace. "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7)

I actually didn't know apprenticeships were still around in the US. Even though I'm in college, I've always said that EVERY job ought to be EARNED through an apprenticeship, not sitting in a classroom. If the Lord allows you to be trained by a man who knows his trade and knows it well, be wise and listen to himlearn from him, and count it as a blessing!
