Hello Brethren, I don't usually post on this site often and rarely log in, however, I thought it necessary based on recent developments. A while back I had forgotten my login details for this site and had to request a password reset, which required me to enter my email address. I reset my password for this site to a common password I use for other apps and websites, which in hindsight was a dumb thing to do. I have no idea whether admins of this site have access to email and password data on this site, but google has confirmed login attempts from Tuscaloosa, Alabama at 4am GMT today. Considering I live in the UK google immediately blocked the login attempt and notified me that although the password entered was indeed correct, the unrecognised device and unusual location prompted their security features to kick in. Make what you will of the location the attempted log-in was made from, I have my suspicions based on recent events of who might be trying to access my account, and I am certain my account won't be the only one. I would recommend therefore for everyone to secure their google and gmail accounts by either changing their passwords and/or enabling 2 step verification which is what I have had to do.

That is concerning, I checked and I can see the email address but not passwords, perhaps a different tier of moderator can see the password(s) and therefore also your personal E-mail password if it happens to be the same.

As you say, for this reason people should always have different passwords for different sites, just generally a good practice on-line.

I'd like to think that it's some kind of coincidence but you never know.
