Awesome pictures brother Joshua, I think you'll enjoy this Croatian park tour:

"God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength." Job 37:5-6

I love the trees and I love the snow on the trees and everything about God’s creation. But as far as decorating a tree – this is something that is often seen done around here every time there is a pagan festival and not just around Christmas time! Whether it is decorating a tree with lights, or with clothes, or with ribbons – whatever they decorate it with and whatever time of the year they do it in – (even during Halloween), it all goes back to paganism and the Bible is very clear about this practice all throughout the Bible and not just in Jeremiah - Learn not the way of the heathen Jeremiah 10:2-4 We are in the last days and I'm not going to compromise for anything or anyone!

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

This has been talked about recently, I hope you understand that we can disagree on this. The lights are pretty, there's no pagan worship going on with me. It's my culture.

"One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind." Romans 14:5

Also, Bryan talked about the scripture you mentioned, Jeremiah 10:2-4, in his part 2 of answering mail video, yesterday. And that scripture is talking to Jews (vs 1 of that chapter), about heathen, of which I (and probably you) are descended from (which we can still get instruction in righteousness from). That scripture says that custom is "vain" (vs 3, and vain doesn't mean evil - and it doesn't mention other pagan customs which are more than vain) And vs 5 says about said heathen decorating that tree "...Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.". I'm not worshiping the tree or doing other devilish sacrifices to it like the real heathen might have done. I have it in my house and it's just decoration.

Don't let some devil tell you to cause division based on a liberty issue. It's a tree with lights on it.

If you don't want to take part in this custom, then don't, but don't tell me not to. If this was something like human sacrifice to the sun, then yeah tell me not to do that. But decorating a tree with good intentions, without sacrifices to said tree or pagan gods, no, there's nothing wrong with that.

Do you use days of the week like Sunday (sun day), Monday (moon day), Tuesday (Tyr, the son of Odin's day), Wednesday (Woden's day), Thursday (Thor's day), Friday (Frigg's day, wife of Odin) and Saturday (Saturn's day)? If so, you are kind of a hypocrite and there's many other things in Western culture that are based off of pagan/heathen practices that you are using every day and I doubt that most people using said days are giving reverence to the thing that it's named from - well except catholics and sun day. So could this decorative tree have come from horrible rituals from the heathen? Yes. Do I have that in mind and reverence the tree and said rituals when I see it or set it up? Of course not. It's a harmless custom, of which the different peoples of this world have many of.

Yes, I have watched Bryan’s recent video on liberty and his other recent ones. I’ve always been aware of his position on Christmas for a very long time. I’ve never rejected him as a brother or his ministry because of his position on Christmas. Bryan has taught me so much over the years and I love and appreciate his ministry and I still watch his videos even to this day even though we may have a difference of opinion from time to time.

I’m just wondering if you’ve had the opportunity to see brother Phillip Newton’s videos that came out a day before Bryan’s liberty video (coincidence?) called “Give me liberty or give me death?” Then straight after that he did two other video’s called liberty in its simplest form a part 1 & 2 series which goes into it in more detail. Just thought it may be good to see a different video on this subject of liberty from other Brethren. I am not trying to tell you what to do because at the end of the day it’s between you and the Lord. I just wanted to express my position on the subject because if we all have liberty, then I should be allowed to freely express my views, just as you’ve been free and able to express yours. My intentions is to lead people to the truth and I hope you can see that this is my only motive and that I am only trying to do this out of love. Thank you Joshua for taking the time to explain this to me as I can sense that you have a love for the truth and a love for the Brethren just as much as I do and want to do what is pleasing in the sight of the Lord - time is running out!  Thank you! Kaz

"Phillip Newton’s videos that came out a day before Bryan’s liberty video (coincidence?)"

What are you meaning with this? Are you trying to cause division based on something the scriptures say "...Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind." (Romans 14:5.) I have my persuasion on this holiday and you have yours.

"Just thought it may be good to see a different video on this subject of liberty from other Brethren. I am not trying to tell you what to do because at the end of the day it’s between you and the Lord."

So you're telling me to watch videos from someone who doesn't celebrate a holiday I do (which is fine, by the way), and hope I get a different view on the subject? You're low-key telling me that what I'm doing is wrong and then saying you're not doing what you're doing. And yes, this is between me and the Lord.

"I just wanted to express my position on the subject because if we all have liberty, then I should be allowed to freely express my views, just as you’ve been free and able to express yours. My intentions is to lead people to the truth..."

I am in this thread glorifying things the Lord made (save the one tree with the lights on it) and saying I celebrate a holiday, which is fine if you don't, and you come in here saying/implying that your views are right and mine are wrong on this subject.

I'm just surprised that you could ignore Romans 14:5 and come in here and tell me I shouldn't hold this day above another. That's not OK. That's actually against scripture, friend.

Colossians 2:16-17 King James Version (KJV)

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Hi brethren, just want to point out that customs are traditions of men. Also the word holyday (Colossians 2:16) and the word holiday aren't the same. Holyday's were instituted by God to the Jews. Holidays are man-made. I don't see how any of our Western holidays (nor any other holidays anywhere else in the world) are a shadow of things to come concerning Scripture.

Ephesians 6:23 “Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
