Exhortation to you brethren.
Glory to God! And yes He will, just continue to grow closer to Him and He will lead you into opportunities to witness. And see you're doing that as well! I know Russia is very atheistic, last I heard you can't even talk about God outside the "church" buildings. So God has you there as a light to their darkness, who knows what He has planned for you to do...
As I understand wemen are not to speak in the church (congregation of the saints) this is where men have authority. Everywhere else wemen can teach and preach the Gospel with all the power given by the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember the true biblical church is the called out assembly of the saved people only, that is where men have authority and responsibility to protect the church and the truth that is preached from the bible. Wemen have the responsibility to nurture and nourish the future of the church (kids). How kids are raised will determine how the future of the church will be. While taking care of the kids if the opportunity appears wemen can spread the Gospel just as well as men and save others, wemen can rebuke even a wrong saved man. The restriction is only in the church.
Behind a successful man is always a powerful woman. It's the head that does the thinking, arms and legs that does the working. Men are the head and the authority of the church wemen are the body and the strent of the church. It's a beautiful thing how God put it together for us, unfortunately man deviated from God's order and here we are, some repent and accept salvation others keep going in their own self destruction path of delusions.
thank you Denise, I agree with you on that one. I know we are all to labour for the Lord, I feel that men are more equip for the task though as the Lord created the man first. They don't get too emotional and are better at discerning things. I am not! I am too emotional and have a lot of problems 🤣. I am not trying to find an excuse not to labour for the Lord. And raising children, oh my! I definitely feel unfit for the task as I feel I am still a child myself! My son and I are growing together 😆
I do however get into conversations with people about issues on the RC church, bible issues and other things, salvation and sin etc. I am learning as I go and try to share that knowledge with whomever I can, sadly most people don't want to hear it. I lost a lot of "friends" already, I don't talk to them, they don't talk to me, my family thinks I am a fanatic etc. And in the midst of all this I am praying desperately that my son will grow up understanding that he needs to have personal relationship with the Lord, and understand what sin is and why he needs our Lord and Saviour!
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Romans 10:15
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58
Hey all brothers and sisters, just wanted to give a little encouragement to us all (myself included) about labouring for the Lord. I believe firmly that the Lord has given each and everyone of us something that another brethren can not do (or has severe trouble doing.) Some of you may be better talkers than others, some are more mechanical, some are more creative, so on and so forth... but God has given everyone of us a skill, talent, craft, or something else to praise and glorify Him, and to spread His gospel. We are not all called to be preachers or teachers of the word, but we are all ministers of reconciliation and ambassadors for Christ as according to 2 Corinthians 5:18-20. A good read through of 1 Corinthians 12 solidifies that we are called to do different things according to what God has given us. As 1 Corinthians 12:14-22 states we can not all be the same thing...
Also, if you brethren are unsure what it is that God has called you to do, ASK HIM! I can not stress the magnitude of importance a good prayer life has on your relationship with the Lord. Prayer is absolutely fundamental in growing closer to Jesus and strengthening our faith. What kind of relationship is it if you sometimes talk to your Father? Also those moments when you pray and God seems silent and not there are moments to try you, a good example is Hezekiah in 2 Chronicles 32:31. But He is always there and hears your prayers... you're His child brethren. Plus the trying of our faith worketh patience (James 1:3) and patience, experience; and experience, hope (Romans 5:4). So don't feel discouraged if your prayers don't get answered immediately. God is growing your faith and hope! Also we are told we are always to pray and not to faint! (Luke 18:1)
Now spreading the gospel, I can speak for almost everyone when I say this that I had zero idea on how to do it. I thought I was supposed to stand out in the streets and preach. Now I'm not saying not to do that, because the Lord still does call many of us to do so, but if you're like me and are a horrible speaker and also think you've never said the right things there are numerous other ways to spread the gospel. And it is ridiculously easy to labor for the Lord now! The Lord has blessed us with the ability to spread the gospel to the whole world from the comfort of our homes... The lost use the internet for wickedness, but we can use it to plant the seeds of hope and salvation to them. We are not supposed to win millions, truth is we might not even convert a single soul, but what matters is the effort, time, and want you put in to doing what the Lord has commanded us to do. Also tracting is another unbelievably easy way to get the word out, you can even make your own! Just have the gospel on it and you're good to go!
And one last thing to mention is meat. Many of you brethren try to eat the meat before you drink the milk of the word. I can testify to what I'm about to say because I also did this, and it's don't get too wrapped up in the meat before you've had your fill of milk! As Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:2 "I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able." If you feel like you're struggling with the basics of salvation which are faith, prayer, and craving for the word. You have to go back to the milk. As it states in Hebrews 5:14 "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their sense excercised to discern both good and evil." Studying the word and getting into the meat is something after you've laboured for the Lord a bit and are well full of the milk. And it's not a shameful thing to study into the meat of the word a little late into salvation, the Lord wants you to totally and completely understand step 1 before you jump to step 5.
But yeah, just a little exhortation to you brethren! Something the Lord has put on my heart to do for awhile but I have been a bit busy, God bless you all and the peace from our Lord Jesus be with you all! 🙂.
I had to ponder again on this, I haven't seen brother Andrew around lately I hope hes doing alright.
I've been in a ditch the past couple of days saying to my self that the Lord simply cannot use me, I'm to far gone so to speak, He just can't use me what so ever due to my horrible background no credit, no work experience, no schooling, tattoos on my hands, grim reapers and daggers on my arms, having a really bad speech problem where I cant even say the Lord's name at times, struggling oftentimes with fear even though i try my best to think of the Lord, not being a good enough witness to others, including those in my own house hold, I mean you name it... I'm sure we all suffer in silence at times but it's good to know that you still have brothers and sisters in the Lord that will give you that extra kick to encourage you to get your head back into the battle and to keep on moving regardless. So thank you brother Andrew for this message! Theres just a bunch of other things but I'll leave it at that for now. If theres any work I do for the Lord, it's just dropping tracts at places, even though I forget sometimes.. anyway, thanks again!
"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
1 Corinthians 1:26-31, For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
Thanks for the encouragement brother Justin.
Who says the Lord isn't using you exactly how he intended? Don't look down on just handing out Bible tracts as they're a great way to witness. If you get creative you can hand out hundreds in less then an hour by visiting your local grocery store and slipping them into things. That way when someone buys a product, they get a gospel tract right in their home. Much more effective then walking up to someone on the street and trying to hand them one. If you want to do more for the Lord you can always make and print your own. It does take time to print them, cut them, fold them and then go hand them out. All our labour for the Lord is not in vain. I believe that the Lord called me to make and hand out tracts, even 9 months ago I had no idea what a bible tract was. I literally never heard of them or seen them and once I watched a video with brother Bryan talking about them, I just couldn't get it out of my mind and got to work. I too had issues with talking to people and I promise you that it does get easier with time. I always pray that the Lord will open doors for me to witness and sometimes I get the JW's coming to my door and when the last one came I had a 15min conversation with one and I actually felt like I planted a seed. Please don't think that you have to be bold and walk up to people to be a good witness for Jesus Christ. You can drop off far more seeds by just quietly handing out tracts. Some plant, some water but God gives the increase.
Some plant, some water but God gives the increase. Amen!
The Lord may let you know. He's let me know once or twice anyway. I had no idea that he was using me, but he let me know. The one he used me to help is quality, a real conversion. They'd come to realize they were a false convert and got saved for real!
It's humbling, very humbling, even just one. I'm nothing but dirt.
Continue your work for the Lord, it's never wasted.
Blessings to you, Matt M., brother Justin and all.
Praise the Lord all, and what a telling verse sister K. I still can't understand why God would save people like me instead of someone with a huge platform or some highly educated man/women. And brother Matt, You're right, though I think the problem is I keep thinking that im well studied and "aged" in my walk with the Lord when I'm not. In fact what Andrew said below is what I struggle with, basic salvation things like faith, studying etc.. I'm a babe in Christ even though I've been saved for about 2 years (late 2017) I was getting confused because I didn't know why my faith was lacking, why I couldn't witness better. I just had the feeling that I messed up so bad in my life that I just couldn't be of any use. I wish the Lord saved me at 10 years old! Man, how bad things can go when you don't have the Lord in your life!
Nonetheless, I'll go back to having "milk" and continue leaving tracts where I go. This forum and you all have been a big help, praise God for not leading me into some other place where I could've been tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine eh? God even our Father bless you all through Christ Jesus our Lord.
2 Timothy 2:21
"If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work."
